Description

The artwork by French artist Sêma Lao features a dynamic, intensely colourful composition in which vivid shades of pink, yellow and turquoise blend organically.

Sêma Lao is known for her expressive portraits and emotionally charged imagery. Her artistic practice combines figurative and abstract elements, often using saturated colours, transparency and layered effects. Spray paint is an important part of her visual language, allowing her to create fluid transitions and a spontaneous sense of movement.

The work is displayed on a metal panel in the historic courtyard of the Abbaye Saint-Martin in Laon. The abbey served as an exhibition venue for the urban art programme accompanying Laon's International Urban Arts Festival.
