Gregor Wosik was born in Upper Silesia in 1955 and loved painting and drawing from an early age. His talent for drawing was discovered early on and enabled him from the age of 16 to develop his talent through additional art lessons.

At that time he always earned something with portraits, landscapes and other commissioned work. He has lived in Germany since 1984, where he has been working as a freelance artist in addition to his civil profession for 26 years.

Inspired by old masters of realism such as Rembrandt and Caravaggio, he always strives for a detailed depiction of people in his work and places great value on a visibly expressive body language of the people portrayed in the painterly implementation of his own or copied works. The tendency to large-scale painting, whether on a wall, a facade, the asphalt or on linen, is characteristic of Gregor Wosik's artistic work. Today Gregor Wosik is a well-known street painter.

For five years he has been specializing in the “Street Art” movement, particularly in 3D street painting and illusion painting. He works for both private individuals and advertising agencies and is actively involved in brainstorming and implementing advertising campaigns. His largest exhibition so far took place in Vienna, where he presented modern street painting using his own works. In the summer of 2009 six European street painters, including Gregor Wosik, realized the largest 3D street painting project in the world. In four days a 750m² 3D picture was created which was officially recognized by "Guinness" as a world record.

In 2012 he broke Gregor this world record with a project in Wilhemshaven, which was 1,500 m² in size.
