"Künstler Mensch", Seidenweberhaus, Krefeld, as part of the "Silk City Gallery" in joint production by Patrik Wolters aka BeNeR1 from Garbsen, Guillem Font from Barcelona and Steffen Mumm aka Hoker One under the artistic direction of Fredda Wouters from Kevelaer.

In the lower part, people are up to their necks, on the one hand a reference to the current flood disaster in the Eifel, but on the other hand a warning about the critical environmental situation in which mankind finds itself.
It is five to twelve! But it grows a plant of hope that people will still rethink, we think z. B. Fridays for Future, the youth has initiated a process that will change a lot.
"Künstler Mensch", is Beuys' statement that anyone can be an artist, creativity is everywhere!

At the top right we see a spider that wants to devour a mask, the mask stands for the culture that has always been part of the silk weaver's house as a central location for cultural events. The austerity pressure of the municipalities and Corona are the spider.
