Pan, the God of Music (EN)

The ArtEZ Conservatory in Enschede trains adventurous professionals in the music world. Rob Kramer, director of the conservatory, saw this artwork at the IJssel Biennale. The sculpture was created by the artist duo Spacecowboys. The artwork was titled “In God We Trust” and was intended to represent a god. Kramer saw the god of music, Pan, in it and thought the artwork would be a beautiful eye-catcher for the school building. In 2018, the artwork was moved to Enschede. The statue stands a full six meters tall and is located on the roof of the ArtEZ Conservatory.

Muziekgod Pan (NL)

Het ArtEZ Conservatorium in Enschede leidt avontuurlijke professionals op in de muziekwereld. Rob Kramer, directeur van het conservatorium, zag bij de IJsselbiënnale dit kunstwerk. Het beeld is gemaakt door het kunstenaarsduo Spacecowboys. Het kunstwerk werd ‘In God We Trust’ genoemd en moest dan ook een god voorstellen. Kramer zag hier de muziekgod Pan in en dacht dat het kunstwerk een mooie eyecatcher zou zijn voor het schoolgebouw. In 2018 verhuisde het kunstwerk naar Enschede. Het standbeeld is maar liefst zes meter hoog en zit op het dak van het ArtEZ Conservatorium.
