With the slogan “More fun, less alcohol”, the artists Jascha Müller (Jash) and Kai Gläser (part of KaLa-Grafik) have painted the ramps of the skate park with graffiti. The ideas for motifs and patterns were worked out with the children and young people who regularly use the skate park. The result is a colorful mixture of patterns and figures such as a large broken bottle. ... The action was commissioned by the municipal youth protection in coordination with the Department of Environment and Urban Greenery. Youth officer Rita Maria Rzyski explains the aim of the redesign. It is not about demonizing alcohol consumption in general, she says. "But it is clear to everyone: If you shoot yourself up here, you will no longer drive without an accident". It is about talking to children and young people about the dangers of alcohol consumption and also about being a good role model yourself. "Children do what we show them."
