Street Art Cities

The design for this wall was based on input from housing corporation TBV: greenery, nature, birds.  In addition, local residents wanted something of the castle on the facade, that once stood nearby and a coat of arms of one of the families who once lived in the castle.
Making the neighbourhood more beautiful, fun and active to live in together is one of the objectives of the "Schônste wijk programma" (most beautiful neighbourhood program). The murals are physical interventions to achieve this goal. The walls for the paintings have been chosen with care and, the residents were involved in the design phase.

Het ontwerp voor deze muur is gebaseerd op input van woningcorporatie TBV: groen, natuur, vogels. Daarnaast wilden buurtbewoners iets van het kasteel dat ooit in de buurt stond op de gevel terugzien, evenals het wapen van een van de families die ooit in het kasteel woonde.
De buurt mooier, leuker en actiever maken om samen in te wonen is een van de doelstellingen van het “Schônste wijk programma” (mooiste buurtprogramma). De muurschilderingen zijn fysieke ingrepen om dit doel te bereiken. De muren voor de schilderingen zijn met zorg gekozen en de bewoners zijn betrokken geweest bij de ontwerpfase.
