Painted in two stages: first a small high flyer at the side of the building, which is then noticed to be pulling lettering on the other wall. Inspired by the quote 'Behold, I make all things new' the street artwork promotes hope that people will do what is right and nurture a better Earth.
'I love space helmets. In this piece making the space helmet much larger than the earth poses the question 'what is humanity doing to Earth and its environment?' This piece aims to inspire a sense of newness, awe, joy, clarity, and refreshment to viewers.'
The words May-King are a not to Newtown's two most celebrated streets, May Lane and King Street, and the word 'New' honours the name of the suburb - Newtown. The artwork is also known as Helmet of Salvation, May (lane) King (567) All (alpha) Things (omega) New (town).
