In the year of the 60th anniversary of the Zielona Góra Events, the Institute of National Remembrance, Poznań Branch, the City of Zielona Góra and the parish of Świętej Jadwiga Śląska in Zielona Góra was commemorated in a unique way by the events of May 30, 1960, when the inhabitants of Zielona Góra stood up for a Catholic house that the communist authorities intended to seize.A mural commemorating the defenders of the Catholic house was made on the wall of the parish building at the co-cathedral, designed by artist painter Jakub Bitka. When creating the mural, the artist used photos stored in the archives of the Institute of National Remembrance, taken by security service officers during the events. One of the most recognizable shows a boy in shorts with a stone in his hand.
