For Marika, art was obvious. Raised in a family of artists from Boulogne-sur-Mer, Marina Toussent has touched everything, discovered photography with her brother, initiated herself into music with her mother while her father confided to her the secrets of perspective in painting in the age 8… Inspired by Picasso or Duffy, Marika discovered total artistic freedom during her ten years in the London suburbs. With her mind and brush freed, she is now known for her series “Les patch-ups”. Symbols of his vision of happiness which “is all the more appreciated when we come back from afar”, this series has found a universal echo, each one finding himself in one of his characters touched by life. "I am only the vector of a message and an emotion" confides the artist.
