Illhan Omar

A multi-disciplined visual artist from Brooklyn, Vince Ballentine is celebrating a woman who makes a difference, Democratic Rep. Illan Omar. She is a community activist, the first woman of color and one of the first two Muslim women to hold office from Minnesota. She is an advocate for a living wage, affordable housing, universal healthcare, student loan debt forgiveness, among many other causes. This is located at 835 Broadway, Brooklyn and you can find other murals as this neighborhood of Bushwick is filled with street art courtesy of @jmzwalls.
