This mural was overpainted and became "Le MUR d'Anvers'

 Dit is het resultaat van de tweede muurschildering als onderdeel van de 'Panacea' residentie van het muralistencollectief NUMU uit Ecuador. Als onderdeel van ons programma 'Art(e) for Community Building' 

'Om deze muurschildering te schilderen, zag ik de symboliek van multiculturele samenleving heel aanwezig in de wijk Merksem, die ik met mijn plastische symboliek wil aankaarten bij culturele berusting en nieuwe rituelen die opnieuw verbinding maken met het leven zelf uit een andere tijd. Ook via dit werk wil ik een mengeling van voorouderlijke Ecuadoriaanse symbolieken verbinden met al het multiculturalisme dat zich in Merksem vestigde.
Zo krijgen we gevoel voor hoe om te gaan met de hybriditeit van het heden of de actualiteit.’

This is the result of the second mural as part of the 'Panacea' residence of the muralist collective NUMU from Ecuador. As part of our 'Art(e) for Community Building' program

‘To paint this mural, I perceived the symbology of miscegenation very present in the Merksem district, which through my plastic symbology I want to address cultural resignification and new rituals that reconnect with life itself from another time. Also through this work I want to connect a mixture of ancestral Ecuadorian symbologies to all the multiculturalism settled in Merksem.

This will leave us with a sense of how to deal with the hybridity of the present or current concerns.’
