Mikhail Ivanovich Pylyaev (November 1, 1842 - January 21, 1899) was a Russian writer and journalist who collected entertaining stories and anecdotes about Petersburg life in the XVIIIth and early XIX centuries.
A creative group from Vladivostok "33 + 1" depicted "locals" on the walls of houses of the Petrogradskaya district. A series of sgraffito (a special technique for creating wall images by scratching it on the plaster) is called "Residents of the Petrogradskay".
