The salmon has always been linked closely with Irish mythology.

Taking inspiration from the active markets and restaurants of old as well as the nearby river systems such as the Farset when invited to pain in the Belfast Entires project Dan decided  to paint a Salmon, especially as it was a heavily exported fish

The abstract Flax is a representation of the Linen Mills which were powered by the rivers of the Lagan basin and helped in bringing great wealth during the industrial revolutinon.
