Thirrilmun

Description

Thirrilmun, meaning Brown Treecreeper is derived from the language of the people of the Hunter Valley and Lake Macquarie. The bird is the spiritual totem of the women, and the eagle is the totem of the area. This artwork features Nayeli Green and grandmother Aunty June Rose, relatives of local Cameron Park resident Kumarah Green.
