Bunker Tattoo is a well-known name in Breda. In 2017 the tattoo shop celebrated their 16th birthday, the perfect opportunity for a homage. Blind Walls Gallery challenged the team to draw several tattoo flashes that could be made into a mural. Artist and tattooist at Bunker, Rutger Termohlen, was offered the chance to paint the flashes on a wall in large scale.

Throughout its history, the Rozemarijnstraat (street) has had a bad reputation. The street was even considered one of the dirtiest streets in Breda in 1839. Around that time, tattooists or people with tattoos were associated with bad people and criminal activities. So this street is the perfect location for Rutger and the Bunker Team to change people’s minds once and for all!

- Blind Walls Gallery | 2017 -
