This portrait is part of a series of frescoes representing emblematic characters to as part of the rehabilitation project of the social housing of  Cours des Ecoles. The main objective of this rehabilitation project was to improve the thermal insulation of the accommodation so that  tenants can   generate energy savings and live in more comfortable conditions. To join the useful to the pleasant the project was done in collaboration with Herault Logement and architecture firm BAM Architects. It includes as well 5 frescoes by  Montpellier artists Ose and Arkane. 

This portrait of famous educator Maria Montessori was the 1st of 3 portraits done by Arnaud for the projet.
