Distorted reality of Benzo's Vol. III (@alieencat)

The glitch aesthetic is not just a visual device, but a statement: distortion communicates the perceived fragility and the resilience necessary to exist in a hyperconnected world. Visual glitches evoke anxiety, overstimulation, and saturation: a common element in nowadays youth's experience.

The mural functions as an anti-Renaissance portrait: instead of an idealized and stable identity, it portrays a fragmented, digitized, exposed, and crisis-ridden self. Creates a historical connection that underscores a key message of urban art: Art does not belong only in museums or cities. It also lives, is reborn, and is reinterpreted on the walls of our towns.

Fragmented identity, living between multiple versions of oneself: the public one (social media), the internal one (emotions), and the one one hopes to be (ideal image). The figure represents the youth of towns like Freginals, with the paradox of being connected to the entire world yet feeling isolated locally. Being part of a rural culture, yet growing up in a global culture.
