These "Hope Koi" were done by local Las Vegas artist The Stencil Artista. Curated by @therahproject for the Life is Beautiful Festival 2016. The project was called "Lighting for Hope", one of the community projects that Life is Beautiful does ever year around festival time. This was an outreach to the homeless community in Las Vegas, with a lot of volunteers and social service programs to aid the homeless within the Las Vegas Community. The process that The Stencil Artista used to create these giant happy koi, was spray paint and giant stencils cut out of manila folders. All of The Stencil Artistas stencils are done by hand. Hand drawn on manila folders, then cut out with an exact o knife. No computers, no printers, no technology. The Stencil Artista tries to bring happiness and color to the community's that he does his murals in.
