Street Art Cities

The mural features a quote from the works of Stanisław Ignacy Witkiewicz encoded in binary form. The phrase, “Art is a separate world; it is the ultimate reflection of the unity of existence,” comes from the novel 622 Downfalls of Bungo, or The Demonic Woman and was selected from submissions sent to PGR Art as part of the project “ALPHABET / First Edition: Witkacy.”

The 6-bit binary code is constructed from small and large dots measuring 20 cm and 50 cm in diameter - together referencing the 70th anniversary of the artist’s death, which fell in 2009.
