Onwards Ukraine 

 

"This small girl symbolizes the courage of the Ukrainians faced with the Russian invasion. 
 
 I painted several occasions at a school in Donbas located in the heart of the conflict zone, where I witnessed incredible resilience from the children. They are the ones who inspired me to realize this work.
 
 I do not usually express my views on current events, but I know how important it is for the people living through this dramatic situation to know that we are thinking of them. I painted this in Paris for the Ukrainian people, particularly for my friend Oleg who remains in Kyiv.”
