Quartier bleu in Hasselt heeft er een nieuw street art kunstwerk bij! Dit keer is het de beurt aan de getalenteerde Roberto Ciredz, een Italiaanse genomineerden street art kunstenaar. Het werk is gemaakt in samenwerking met kunstenaarscollectief Treepack en is te bewonderen op de gevels van vernieuwd XIOR- studentencomplex in de Armand Hertzstraat te Hasselt.

De gigantische muurschildering van Ciredz is een prachtige abstracte creatie die zijn inspiratie haalt uit water, natuur en ijslandschappen. Het kunstwerk ‘Flood’ van Ciredz is gebaseerd op het vele water van de buurt Quartier bleu. Het kleurenpalet dat hij gebruikt heeft, is typerend voor zijn werk en varieert tussen zachte en levendige blauwe kleuren, waardoor het werk een rustgevende uitstraling heeft. De combinatie van deze kleuren en de vloeiende kleurvlakken die Ciredz heeft gebruikt, roepen het gevoel op alsof je je in een serene, onderwaterwereld bevindt.
