PINA BAUSCH GALLERY WUPPERTAL TANZT - EDITION 2024
THE ARTIST - Case Maclaim is a German urban artist from Frankfurt and also an extremely talented graffiti artist. In his works, he combines brilliant photorealism with a strong touch of surrealism. His visual vocabulary is usually based on elements of the human body, which he abstracts and complements with new, narrative, frightening, animalistic, or mythical elements.
THE PROJECT: 'Wuppertal Tanzt' is a homage to the dance choreographer Pina Bausch in the public space of the city of Wuppertal. WUPPERTAL DANCE deals with its 15 international dance co-productions and has them individually interpreted by urban artists from the respective co-production countries in the public space of the city of Wuppertal.
WUPPERTAL TANZT are 10 murals for 10 city districts - 10 dance stories, 10 countries, 10 artists, 10 views and 10 perspectives by international street artists.
