The Bellfounder

‘Bellfounder’ is the name of the street where this mural can be found. So I choose this old hand craft, a foundry worker who casts bells as the main subject of this wall.

He holds a church bell upside down changing the bell into a flower vase. This symbolizes the transience of church buildings in the Netherlands. Many churches are empty, are being demolished or are being given a new purpose. The same goes for this bell.
