Honthort - Shepherdess with pigeons

Like the painting from Gerard van Honthorst, Central Museum Utrecht 1625. This smiling shepherdess with walking stick, lovely dress and flowery hat is holding a little nest with two lovebirds, a symbol of the goddess Venus. This mural is a gift from het hospital Diaconessenhuis to the city of Utrecht, because of its 900th birthday.
