Giraffe

A giant giraffe, about seven stories tall, created by artist JanIsDeMan. Located on the corner of Briljantlaan and Diamantweg, the mural was a collaboration between local residents, housing corporation Woonin, and the municipality of Utrecht. The theme was inspired by nature.

Next to the mural, climbing plants have been planted so that, as they grow, it will appear as though the giraffe is eating real vegetation - a detail the project organizers found particularly charming.

JanIsDeMan expressed pride in the project, noting that it’s his first artwork that will improve over time.
