<div>&nbsp;Between October and November 2022, Barcelona based artistic center <a href="https://www.bmurals.com/">B-Murals</a> curated and produced <a href="https://osonaturisme.cat/artimur/">Osona Artimur Festival</a>, a never been done initiative of the <a href="https://osonaturisme.cat/en/">Department of Tourism</a> of <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/bLkvpphbNqYvD8Kr7">Osona</a> (an idyllic region up north BCN full of rivers, mountains and beautiful landscapes), in collaboration with the Catalan company <a href="https://www.transit.es/">Transit Projectes</a>.</div><div><br></div><div>19 well renowned artists from the international muralism scene, the Spanish contemporary art world and some local guns selected through open calls and participatory processes, intervened the streets and the public space of 5 different villages - <strong>Prats de Lluçanès</strong>, <strong>Manlleu</strong>, <strong>Sant Julià de Vilatorta</strong>, <strong>Sant Bartomeu del Grau</strong> and <strong>Alpens</strong> -, supported by an extensive production team which included assistants, runners, photographers and filmers.<br>More info on https://osonaturisme.cat/artimur/ <br><br> Satone (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/_satone_/">@_satone_</a> ) is a German graffiti writer with a long international career, recognised both for the variety and intensity of his graffiti interventions and his more recent curated works.<br>Throughout his career, Satone has been able to continuously transform his art and renew his style through abstraction and influences from a variety of styles and disciplines.<br>He has evolved towards abstraction by seeking the iconographic value in graffiti letters to produce unique designs.<br>He began to develop the characteristic style that we recognise in this mural of Sant Bartomeu about 12 years ago, when he started studying Italian futurism. In this mural and in many of his works, Satone achieves a sense of movement and speed through the distortion of design and form.<br>10 years after collaborating for the first time with the Difusor team in Open Walls festival, Satone presents his mural "DRIFT", a unique large-scale work located in the heart of Sant Bartomeu.<br>DRIFT is a chromatographic abstraction of the landscape of Sant Bartomeu and its countryside (the thematic chosen by the village), with the aim of inviting color back into this village shaped by its industrial past. Most of the forms that seem abstract to the eye are the result of transformation and distortion of natural elements that surround Sant Bartomeu and can be easily found in rural contexts.&nbsp;<br>-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br> Satone es un escritor de grafiti aleman de larga trayectoria internacional, reconocido tanto por la variedad e intensidad de sus intervenciones en el graffiti, como en sus trabajos comisariados más recientes.<br>A lo largo de su carrera, Satone ha sabido evolucionar en su arte y renovar su estilo constantemente a través de la abstracción y de influencias de otros estilos y disciplinas.<br>Ha evolucionado hacía la abstracción, buscando el valor iconográfico de las letras del graffiti para producir diseños.<br>Empezó a desarrollar el estilo característico que le reconocemos en este mural de Sant Bartomeu hace unos 12 años, cuando se interesó al futurismo italiano. En este mural y en muchas de sus obras, Satone logra una sensación de movimiento y velocidad a través de la distorsión las formas y del diseño.<br>10 años después de colaborar por primera vez con el equipo Difusor en Open Walls, Satone presenta su mural „DRIFT“, una obra de gran envergadura ubicada en el corazon de Sant Bartomeu.<br>DRIFT es una abstracción cromatográfica del paisaje de Sant Bartomeu y su campo (el eje temático elegido por el pueblo), con objetivo de volver a invitar el color en este pueblo de pasado industrial. La mayoria de las formas que el ojo identifica como abstractas son el resultado de un trabajo de transformación y distorsión de elementos de la naturaleza que rodean sant bartomeu y se pueden encontrar facilmente en contextos rurales.&nbsp;</div>

Bartomeu del Grau we aimed to create a meeting ground between the artist Alessia Innocenti (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/alessiainart_official/">@alessiainart_official</a> ) and the school of Montjoia (5th and 6th grade classes) to work and carry out proposals for mural interventions on a wall of the main square.<br>The artist, students and teachers carried out joint exercises around Alessia’s work and the landscape of Sant Bartomeu and Osona. The first phase of this process consisted of a first contact session to explain Alessia's work, introduce concepts of her technique and creative process. In the classroom, we sought to identify the repetitive patterns of the landscape and nature of Osona (trees, flowers, mountains, animals...) to produce a proposal for a collective mural as a source of inspiration for Alessia. The students were able, in a second stage, to participate in the elaboration of the mural in street painting sessions.<br>In the work thus produced, we can find a selection of natural elements identified and worked on by the students, brought to a large-scale design in public space with the style and stamp of Alessia Innocenti.<br>All the participatory processes carried out give way to deepen and continue the conceptual work and the practice of art as a collective tool (through guided tours and interpretations, development of concepts, classroom activities, etc.). <br>-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br> En Sant Bartomeu del Grau buscamos crear un espacio de encuentro entre la artista Alessia Innocenti (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/alessiainart_official/">@alessiainart_official</a> ) y la escuela de Montjoia (clases de 5é y 6é) para trabajar y llevar a cabo propuestas de intervenciones murales en una pared de la plaza principal.<br><br>Se llevó a cabo un trabajo conjunto entre la artista, los alumnos y los profesores en torno a la obra de Alessia y el paisaje de Sant Bartomeu y Osona. La primera fase de este proceso consistió en una sesión de primer contacto para explicar la obra de Alessia, introducir conceptos de su técnica y procesos. En el aula, los alumnos identificaron los patrones repetitivos del paisaje y de la naturaleza de Osona (arboles, flores, montañas, animales..) para producir una propuesta de mural colectivo como fuente de inspiración para Alessia. En un segundo tiempo, el colectivo de alumnos participó de la elaboración del mural en sesiones de pintada a pie de calle.<br><br>En la obra así producida, se pueden encontrar una selección de elementos naturales identificados y trabajados por los alumnos, llevados a un diseño de gran tamaño en el espacio público con el estilo y el sello de Alessia Innocenti.<br>Todos los procesos participativos llevados a cabo dan paso para profundizar y seguir el trabajo conceptual y la práctica del arte como herramienta colectiva (a través de visitas guiadas y interpretaciones, desarrollo de conceptos, actividades en el aula, etc.).&nbsp;</div>

The floral work he left on the facade of the town hall is the result of his research and readings about the natural landscape of Sant Bartomeu.<br>The flowers depicted in this mural - poppies, bellflowers and black bells - are typical species of the area that used to grow in the place where the factory of Sant Bartomeu was erected. A building that, apart from its role in the industrial development of the village, opened a wound the village center and its natural landscape before falling into obsolescence.<br>The deconstruction of the factory gave way to recovery processes both geographical, natural and of identity. And, in parallel, Alberto Montes’ flowers grow on the wall as a symbol of this recovery, of hope and of the identity heritage of Sant Bartomeu.<br>The background of the mural is composed of overlapping photographs from the town's archive, which give a sense of depth and stability to the design. Although the background is not legible, it gives the intuition that an image is hidden behind the flowers. The background, besides being another reference to the identity of the village, raises intrigue and interest in the eyes of the viewer. <br>-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br>&nbsp;Alberto Montes&nbsp;es el segundo artista seleccionado por curaduría para pintar en el pueblo de Sant Bartomeu. La obra de diseño floral que dejó en la fachada del ayuntamiento es fruto de su investigación y de sus lecturas sobre la naturaleza y el paisaje de Sant Bartomeu.<br><br>Las flores representadas en este mural - amapolas, campaneta blava y porrazas - son especies típicas de la zona que solían crecer en el lugar donde se erigio la fábrica de Sant Bartomeu. Un edificio que, a parte de su rol en el desarrollo industrial del pueblo, abrió una herida en el centro del pueblo y su paisaje natural, antes de caer en la obsolescencia.<br>La deconstrucción de la fábrica dió paso a procesos de recuperación a la vez geográficos, identitarios y naturales del pueblo. Y, en paralelo, las flores de Alberto M. crecen en la pared como símbolo de esta recuperación, de la esperanza y del patrimonio identitario de Sant Bartomeu.<br>El fondo del mural está constituido por fotografias del archivo del pueblo, que a través de la superposición dan una sensación de profundidad y estabilidad al diseño. A pesar de que no se lea el fondo, nace la intuicion que se esconde una imagen detrás de las flores. El fondo, además de ser un guiño más a la identidad del pueblo, crea una intriga y un interés en los ojos del espectador.&nbsp;</div>
