Between October and November 2022, Barcelona based artistic center B-Murals curated and produced Osona Artimur Festival, a never been done initiative of the Department of Tourism of Osona (an idyllic region up north BCN full of rivers, mountains and beautiful landscapes), in collaboration with the Catalan company Transit Projectes.

19 well renowned artists from the international muralism scene, the Spanish contemporary art world and some local guns selected through open calls and participatory processes, intervened the streets and the public space of 5 different villages - Prats de Lluçanès, Manlleu, Sant Julià de Vilatorta, Sant Bartomeu del Grau and Alpens -, supported by an extensive production team which included assistants, runners, photographers and filmers.

In S. Bartomeu del Grau we aimed to create a meeting ground between the artist Alessia Innocenti (@alessiainart_official ) and the school of Montjoia (5th and 6th grade classes) to work and carry out proposals for mural interventions on a wall of the main square.
The artist, students and teachers carried out joint exercises around Alessia’s work and the landscape of Sant Bartomeu and Osona. The first phase of this process consisted of a first contact session to explain Alessia's work, introduce concepts of her technique and creative process. In the classroom, we sought to identify the repetitive patterns of the landscape and nature of Osona (trees, flowers, mountains, animals...) to produce a proposal for a collective mural as a source of inspiration for Alessia. The students were able, in a second stage, to participate in the elaboration of the mural in street painting sessions.
In the work thus produced, we can find a selection of natural elements identified and worked on by the students, brought to a large-scale design in public space with the style and stamp of Alessia Innocenti.
All the participatory processes carried out give way to deepen and continue the conceptual work and the practice of art as a collective tool (through guided tours and interpretations, development of concepts, classroom activities, etc.).

En Sant Bartomeu del Grau buscamos crear un espacio de encuentro entre la artista Alessia Innocenti (@alessiainart_official ) y la escuela de Montjoia (clases de 5é y 6é) para trabajar y llevar a cabo propuestas de intervenciones murales en una pared de la plaza principal.

Se llevó a cabo un trabajo conjunto entre la artista, los alumnos y los profesores en torno a la obra de Alessia y el paisaje de Sant Bartomeu y Osona. La primera fase de este proceso consistió en una sesión de primer contacto para explicar la obra de Alessia, introducir conceptos de su técnica y procesos. En el aula, los alumnos identificaron los patrones repetitivos del paisaje y de la naturaleza de Osona (arboles, flores, montañas, animales..) para producir una propuesta de mural colectivo como fuente de inspiración para Alessia. En un segundo tiempo, el colectivo de alumnos participó de la elaboración del mural en sesiones de pintada a pie de calle.

En la obra así producida, se pueden encontrar una selección de elementos naturales identificados y trabajados por los alumnos, llevados a un diseño de gran tamaño en el espacio público con el estilo y el sello de Alessia Innocenti.
Todos los procesos participativos llevados a cabo dan paso para profundizar y seguir el trabajo conceptual y la práctica del arte como herramienta colectiva (a través de visitas guiadas y interpretaciones, desarrollo de conceptos, actividades en el aula, etc.).
