La Matanza Rural Extremenña

On April 1st, the new mural "Matanza Rural" was inaugurated by the artist Brea. This mural consists of four spaces that depict the different stages of a slaughter. The first painting depicts the moment the pig is fattened until it reaches its ideal weight and then its slaughter. The second image shows the ingredients needed to cook the different products obtained from the slaughter. The third represents the moment when the pig's guts begin to be filled with meat to make patatera, chorizos, etc. The last work shows the end of the festival and is represented by a woman carrying sweets, anise, and coffee to share with all attendees, thus capturing the most recreational aspect of the slaughter.

El día uno de abril fue la inauguración del nuevo mural “Matanza Rural” de la mano del artista Brea. Este mural está formado por cuatro espacios que desarrollan las diferentes fases de una matanza. La primera pintura cuenta el momento en el que se engorda al cerdo hasta que obtiene el peso ideal y cuando se sacrifica. En la segunda imagen se observa los ingredientes necesarios para guisar los diferentes productos que se obtienen de la matanza. En tercer lugar, representa el momento en el que se empiezan a llenar las tripas del cochino con la carne para hacer patatera, chorizos etc. La última obra, muestra en final de la fiesta y está representado por una mujer que lleva dulces, anís y café para compartir con todos los asistentes plasmando así la parte más lúdica de la matanza.
