Die Suche

The local artists Raks & Laune also added a wall to the ArtWalk-Saarbrücken in 2017.
Both know each other for over 15 years and over the time they developed a strong friendship.
They started spraying graffiti in their early years and visited the same art college. Despite their strong connection both developed unique styles. Raks is known for his graphic style, often combined with lettering. Laune on the other hand has a strong figurative style with abstract and heavily emotional parts. Those absolute contrary styles are combined in a perfect match for the mural "Die Suche" (eng. "The Search").
The first thing you see is a woman with a stick in her hand who is somehow searching for something. What she is looking for is not clear, and it is not really important for the reception of the mural. The artist tried to create an aesthetic combination of both their styles and it works out perfectly. The mural is a strong addition to the more industrial surroundings it faces. Saarbrücken should be happy to have such a great work and such great local artist.
