The wall seeks to echo the voices of women from the Amazon who are fighting against the oil, mining, and forestry extractivism that attempts to appropriate and destroy protected territories in complicity with the Ecuadorian state.
While at the same time, they resist the ancestral indigenous patriarchy that dictates gender roles in many of their communities.
