Chasing The Red Demon

The preparations for the first edition of the Wall Street Prague festival (now Urban Pictus) in 2022 coincided with the outbreak of the war, leading the organizers to support an artist from Ukraine. This resulted in a mural painted in August by Oleksiy Bordusov, also known as AEC / Interesni Kazki (from Ukrainian: Interesting Fairy Tales). His work often combines surreal imagery with symbolic narratives and social commentary. The mural in Prague is dedicated to Ukraine and its struggle against Russian aggression, but AEC was also inspired by the Czech people’s fight against the communist regime.
