Mural Ruzyně – Krása města v pohybu (City Beauty in Motion)

Initiated by the Prague 6 Municipal District, Mural Ruzyně is the flagship project of the 2026 Urban Pictus street art festival.

Painted between 15 June and 10 July 2026, the project transformed a 700-metre-long wall on Vlastina Street into one of Europe’s largest open-air galleries. Covering approximately 1,800 m², it became Europe’s third-longest mural wall after Berlin’s East Side Gallery and Lisbon’s Blue Wall.

The mural, titled “Krása města v pohybu” (“City Beauty in Motion”), was created by 30 artists from both the Czech Republic and abroad, invited to create their own interpretations of the theme. The works explore different aspects of urban life, capturing the city’s rhythm, colours and light alongside its people, architecture, nature, movement and the beauty of everyday moments.

Once a plain concrete wall along a busy public transport corridor, Mural Ruzyně has transformed an ordinary part of the urban landscape into a major open-air art destination and strengthened Prague’s position on the map of the international street art scene.

For street art lovers arriving in Prague by plane, Mural Ruzyně is a must-see first stop before discovering more of the city’s urban art scene. Located approximately 10 minutes from the airport by public transport, it is one of Europe’s largest and most impressive mural projects.
