"Pompei"

This three-dimensional writing, which the Canadian artist made at the entrance to the modern city of Pompei, is his homage to one of the world's oldest and most famous cities.

Ben Johnston, born in Cape Town, South Africa, and now based in Toronto, Canada, is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer who uses custom typography for his artworks, advertising, and public art and is constantly pushing himself beyond the limits of his field. In cities such as San Francisco, Hawaii, Serbia, and India, he created large-scale murals for corporate clients and non-profit organizations. His fine art pieces have been shown in international exhibitions, and he has spoken and painted live at numerous conferences. Whether he's painting a mural in a remote part of India or creating an animated piece for an NFT auction, he strives for a unique approach, drawing inspiration from his travels. He has also received numerous Type Directors Club awards and was named one of the 2019 TDC Ascenders.
