Sandy's Dream

Done on January 20th, 2005 - this mural was created to raise awareness and support those affected by a disease that is called "the cancer that whispers" - sponsored by the Sandy Rollman Foundation, this is the first mural in the US to raise cancer awareness. This is a tribute to Rollman (pictured as the woman in green with a candle on a cliff), who passed away from advanced ovarian cancer at 33. Those depicted on the sides are woman helping women in struggle, while the 3 woman in the middle show hope and survivors. If you can spot it, there's also a little secret the artist notes - there's a figure in the cliff of a woman really in struggle and show how far cancer can go.
