Victory Day

Victory Day is a nationwide holiday in the Russian Federation, held annually on May 9th. It is this holiday that the artist dedicated his painting to.

Like flames, bright red bashlyks (military capes) blaze, highlighted by black Cossack-Kuban cherkesskas (traditional Caucasian coats), kubankas and soldiers’ caps fly into the air against the backdrop of the leaden-stone massiveness of the Brandenburg Gate, floating in the haze of gunpowder smoke.

The description was provided by the Department of Culture, Sports and Youth Policy of the Administration of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Urban District.

The artist participated in the «Avacha Street Art» festival in 2023, contributing their creative interpretation of this historically significant event to the urban art landscape.
