Jimmy Hendrix

Description

This mural is painted on the side of the Elks Club on historic Jefferson street in Nashville,Tn. The building was once called Club Barron and was a poplular nightclub back in the 60's. The mural depicts Jimmy Hendrix and Johnny Jones in an epic guitar battle that was held at the club. Hendrix, from Seattle, lived in Nashville for about a year after he got out of the army in the early 60's. He was stationed at nearby Fort Campbell. Hendrix's early career started while playing in the local clubs up and down Jefferson street.
