Delahey Community Centre Mural

Description

Katherine collaborated with local Delahey community members through a series of consultation and creative workshops to create this mural, giving the community an opportunity to build relationships, foster a sense of ownership and inspire pride.

This mural showcases the power of unity and togetherness. In this design, a seed on the right side is sprouting and growing leaves and flowers. The community is holding the growing plant, symbolizing the community’s role in nurturing growth and harmony. The design has an aesthetic that feels like a woven textile, representing the interconnectedness of the community.
