In februari 2021 werden meerdere electriciteitskastjes omgevormd tot verborgen juweeltjes onder de naam Chroma-Tourmaline. Een verwijzing naar de edelsteen toermalijn, maar ook naar tour en Maline, de Sint-Romboutstoren en Mechelen.

Ice and Smiles doen waar ze voor staan: ijslolly's beschilderen en een glimlach op het gezicht van voorbijgangers toveren. Je hoeft hier niets diepers te zoeken.

Vader en dochter bundelen hun krachten en het is precies deze samenwerking die de kracht van kunst laat zien. Terwijl ze zich inspannen om anderen vreugde te brengen, groeien ze onbewust naar elkaar toe. Deze doos is niet hun eerste kunstwerk en dat is te zien. De dochter stelt het kleurenpalet samen en zij beginnen met de schets. Zij vult de grote vlakken in en hij legt de laatste hand aan het kunstwerk. De interactie is speels: iets wat we zeker meer kunnen gebruiken in deze serieuze wereld.

Ice and Smiles do what they stand for: paint popsicles and put a smile on the faces of passers-by. You don't have to look for anything deeper here.

Father and daughter join forces, and it is precisely this collaboration that shows the power of art.  While they put effort into bringing others joy, they subconsciously grow closer to each other. This box is not their first artwork, and you can tell. The daughter puts together the color palette and they start with the sketch. She fills in the large areas, and he puts the finishing touches on the artwork. The interaction is playful: something we can certainly use more of in this serious world.
