In a rural environment frozen by generational changes and depopulation, the village of Labata is experiencing a golden age where the youngest people are returning to this rural area of the Sierra de Guara.
This 16×3 m mural represents the rebirth of a village that is once again flourishing. Arranged horizontally, this large flower and its stem trace a sort of timeline. As the viewer walks along the street, he or she passes through the work and consequently through the different vital states of this flower, which in reality symbolise his or her own life.
Mural created for Labata Art Fest in collaboration with the inhabitants of this village in Huesca.
