In the fall of 2020, Hoogstraten brought a plan to IKO Hoogstraten and De Lijn with a mission: to make the 11.11.11 campaign truly visible in Hoogstraten. Designer Henk Van Dijk drew inspiration from both Hoogstraten and the 11.11.11 campaign theme of changemakers. Today, this vision has come to life at the De Lijn bus depot in Hoogstraten (Van Aertselaerstraat 14).

The mural portrays a changemaker sharing their message in the colors of the rainbow, symbolizing an impact on the world. The Earth in the painting illustrates how Hoogstraten is part of an interconnected, globalized world—one bound by ties that matter now and into the future. On the right, an astronaut represents this vision of the future, already gazing out at those passing by!
