Description

The phrase "We don't caress paradise from afar" (originally in French: "Nous ne caressons pas le paradis de loin") is a famous quote by the French philosopher, writer, and filmmaker Guy Debord from 1955. Ever since the Paris May uprisings of 1968, this slogan has repeatedly surfaced on walls in major cities worldwide — often alongside other philosophical graffiti pieces aimed at breaking up the gray monotony of everyday urban life.

In 2013 I started with a new hobby. In the beginning it was difficult to get reliable information how to find streetart in public space. In 2016, I had the idea of sharing my information with other street art enthusiasts and started my blog “Streetartwalks”. When I found out about this new street art community at the beginning of 2018, I was immediately on board.
