Gore is known for it's fishing and farming. look across the road and you will see a sculpture of a trout. Shane Walker a self taught multi-disiplinary artist painted this for an event called "Streets Alive"' aka South Sea Over Spray, part of the Hokonui South Sea Spray street art festival.
