Along with the fresh new identity for this street with many bars and clubs, immo company Wereldhave have commissioned street artist Lindert Steegen to create a colourful ground painting. He is no stranger to Ghent. Having attended the city’s Luca School of Arts, the artist stayed put when the time came to set up his own studio.
This work is entitled ‘Buiten de Lijnen’ (‘Outside the lines’), with the 300 m² painting linking Ghent’s city centre to the museum quarter. The artwork uses 15 colours and is inspired by how the people enter and leave this building.
A project by Wereldhave.
