De dansende boeren
Het collectief van jonge fans van het Museum voor Schone Kunsten (MSK) nodigde kunstenaars uit om muurschilderingen te maken, geïnspireerd door de collectie van het MSK. Dit is de vierde muurschildering in deze serie.
Deze muurschildering is gebaseerd op zowel de "Bruiloftsdans" van Pieter II Breughel, als op het verhaal van Bienst over een feestje in het MSK. Dit is een prachtige vertaling van verhaal + referentiewerk naar een hedendaagse muurschildering.
Het verhaal van Bienst: “Op 1 december was er een silent disco in het MSK. Er waren 3 verschillende muziekstanden op de koptelefoons. En terwijl iedereen op pop en fuifmuziek danste, dansten mijn twee vrienden en ik op klassieke muziek, jazz en wereldmuziek! Heel fijne herinnering.”

The collective of young fans of the Museum of Fine Arts (MSK) invited artists to create murals, inspired by the collection of MSK. This is the 4th mural in this series.
The mural is based on both Pieter Breughel II's "Wedding Dance" and Bienst's story about a party at the MSK Gent. This is a beautiful translation of the story and reference work into a contemporary mural.
Bienst's story: "On December 1st, there was a silent disco at the MSK. There were three different music settings on the headphones. And while everyone else was dancing to pop and party music, my two friends and I were dancing to classical, jazz, and world music! A very fond memory."
