Goldmine festival 2023 - 'Should I wait a bit more or …'

To start the new edition of this festival in the Nieuw Gent area, Polish artist Robert Seikon was the first artist to arrive. He created this mural in his typical abstract style.

These are his words about this mural:
"Should I wait a bit more or should I move on… these are the questions popping in my head as I sit on this bench. These days, it seems it is a very difficult time for many of us. Although, Belgium is a melting pot, filled with people from various cultural backgrounds, which are sometimes clashing and not fully understanding each other. In the same time, it looks like ART is bringing people together. There is not enough balance visible around the Europe, but no matter of colour or religion, I think art can still unite people in a unique way. With all the smiles that I have received in the past days and conversations with people from the neighbourhood, I’m coming back filled with positive energy that will help me to move full on!"
