Strook presents his Van Eyck-inspired work. This work is made with recycled wood from different old buildings in Ghent, so this work has many pieces from the city's history included. The 2 panels are a clear reference to the work of Van Eyck. In the famous Ghent altar piece many characters are (or are not) communicating with eachother over multiple panels. It's up to you to decide what you see here : 2 characters looking at each other... or 1 looking in a mirror.

My life? Street art, music, European comics, contemporary art, travelling... On my FlickR account you'll find all my street art photography, and yes that means a lot of pictures.
Living in Ghent (Belgium), so most pictures are taken in my home town. And yes, that's the place I'm taking care of on Street Art Cities. Let me know when you come over to visit, perhaps we can have a drink or walk.
