Kofferbakkippen

Till about the year 2000, multiple chickens were roaming the area near the Boschdijktunnel. They were left behind by citizens who simply wanted to get rid of the chickens. That's why they got the nickname "kofferbakkippen" (trunk chickens). Some homeless people took care of them. As part of the project Tunnelvisie, artists from De Strakke Hand created a classic style, almost life like, painting to honour these birds.
