The wall space was made available by the Eisenbahner-Bauverein eG Düsseldorf. The artwork caused a stir when, in June 2009, it was temporarily painted over in gray by unknown persons before being restored.
The piece was created in the spring and summer of 2009; by reversing roles—depicting an armed banker robbing customers — it critiques the financial crisis and the bailout of troubled banks at the taxpayers' expense.
