Ric Hochet

The Ric Hochet mural in Dunkerque is a striking tribute to the iconic Belgian comic book detective created by Tibet and André-Paul Duchâteau. A unique artistic creation, designed entirely from scratch by local artists who drew inspiration from a dozen of the detective's comic books. Since no existing mural design for the character existed, the artists carefully composed the scene by blending elements from multiple Ric Hochet adventures, capturing the essence of his investigative spirit. Through bold lines and vibrant colors, they paid homage to the detective’s thrilling world, weaving together key moments from the comics to form a cohesive, dynamic tribute. This mural stands as both a celebration of Ric Hochet and a testament to creative reinterpretation.
