Inspired by Manuel Lima's book.I approached the Tide Mill as the main element of this composition.
The Corroios Tide Mill depicted here was built in 1403 on the initiative of the Saint Constable Nuno Álvares Pereira. This mill, also known as Moinho do Castelo, is still in working order today.
Opened to the public in 1986 as part of the Seixal Municipal Ecomuseum and classified as a Property of Public Interest, the mill offers visitors an exhibition of 600 years of milling.
